Brown In Top 10

Leaderboard Opens in a new window

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – Following 36 holes at the Western Intercollegiate, No. 8 Stanford men's golf sits in fifth with a 2-under 698 in the play-six, count-five format. Barclay Brown leads the Cardinal and is tied for 10th with a 3-under 137.

As is often the case at Pasatiempo Golf Club, the afternoon conditions proved a tough test for the Cardinal. After Pepperdine set a tournament record with a round of 22-under on Tuesday morning, the Cardinal was 9-over for its round in the afternoon. Stanford's scoring average among its six in the lineup on Monday was 68.17, but that jumped to 72.67 on Tuesday afternoon.

For the second straight day, Brown registered a sub-par round with a 2-under 68, thanks in part to six birdies.

The third and final round tees off on Wednesday morning with live coverage on the GOLF Channel from 1-4 p.m. PT.
