STANFORD, Calif. - No. 11 Stanford claimed its 29th Pac-12 regular season title on Saturday afternoon, winning its 14th match in a row, a 4-1 decision over Washington State. The Cardinal improves to 17-2 overall and 9-0 against conference foes.
After celebrating Angelica Blake before the match for Senior Day, the Cardinal won its sixth doubles point in a row, posting a dominant 6-0 win on court three from Connie Ma and Valencia Xu, paired with a 6-4 win for No. 28 Blake and Alexis Blokhina, earning their third ranked win of the season over the nation's No. 53 duo.
The momentum continued in singles play, highlighted by a clinical, 6-0, 6-0 effort from Sara Choy on court six for Stanford's second point. Blokhina was sidelined after losing the first set on court four, retiring for Washington State's only point of the day, but Blake and Xu quickly sealed the deal, winning their respective matches to give the Cardinal the win.
The Pac-12 title is Stanford's first since 2019.
