PHOENIX, Ariz. – On the day she broke the record for the most weeks ever spent at No. 1 in the World Amateur World Golf Rankings (136), Stanford sophomore Rose Zhang won the Pac-12 individual championship and broke the Stanford women's golf record for career wins with 10…in just her 18th event. She was previously tied with Andrea Lee at nine wins (32 events).

Zhang tied the Pac-12 Championships record at 12-under (Mhairi McKay, Stanford, 1997) and set the championship record for lowest score (204, surpassing 205 by Linnea Strom, Arizona State, 2016) and margin of victory (seven, surpassing Pam Wright, Arizona State, 1988).

The win was Zhang's sixth of the season, tying Rachel Heck for the most in program history in a single season, and is the second-most in Conference history. Her 10 wins are the third-most in Pac-12 conference history.

Zhang tallied seven birdies and four bogeys to card a final-round 3-under 69.

For the tournament, Zhang led the field in Par-3 scoring (-2), was fourth in Par-4 scoring (-2) and first in Par-5 scoring (-8). Her 18 birdies were five more than any other player in the field.

Following the event, the conference named its All-Conference team with Zhang, Sadie Englemann and Megha Ganne earning a spot.

Next up for the Cardinal is NCAA Regionals, May 8-10. Regional selections will be announced next Wednesday, April 26, at 10 a.m. PT on GOLF Channel. NCAA Championships will once again be hosted by Arizona State at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 19-24.
