SEATTLE, Wash. – No. 17 Stanford men's tennis dropped a 4-1 decision inside Washington's Nordstrom Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. The Cardinal was without Arthur Fery, the No. 3 singles player in the country, as well as No. 54 Samir Banerjee.
The Huskies won the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, winning a tiebreaker on court three to claim the point.
In singles, the Huskies won quickly on courts six and five to jump out to a 3-0 lead, before Max Basing closed out his win on court one to give Stanford its lone point of the match.
The Cardinal closes the regular season at Oregon on Sunday before Pac-12 Championships begin on April 27 in Ojai, Calif.
