STANFORD, Calif. - No. 8 Stanford rallied to defeat California 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in front of a sellout crowd at Boyd and Jill Smith Family Stadium, recording its fourth conferences series victory of the season.

Stanford (34-10, 10-8 Pac-12), which ranks fifth in the Pac-12 standings, improved to 18-1 on The Farm with five home games remaining in the regular season.

Trailing 2-1, the Cardinal scored twice in the sixth inning to pull out the victory. After a bases-loaded walk to Sydney Steele plated Emily Young, Kyra Chan's sacrifice fly proved to be the difference with Kaitlyn Lim coming around to score.

Chan accounted for two of Stanford's four hits, also delivering a one-out single in the third inning and scoring to make it 1-1 after Aly Kaneshiro's bases-loaded walk.

Alana Vawter (16-6) got the win out of the bullpen, allowing one run on two hits despite issuing three walks. NiJaree Canady started and worked the first four innings, surrendering one run on three hits, walking one and striking out seven.

Emily Schultz reached base three times, finishing with one hit and two walks.

California (30-14-1, 7-10-1 Pac-12) led 1-0 thanks to Makena Smith's RBI double in the third inning. The Golden Bears moved back in front 2-1 in the fifth before the Cardinal completed its comeback.

Stanford is back on the road next week with a Wednesday matchup against Fresno State before heading down to Arizona State for a weekend series.
