Best in Conference

STANFORD, Calif. - The Cardinal claimed two skipper of the year awards and six all-conference honors in the 2023 PCCSC awards, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Vanessa Lahrkamp was named the PCCSC Open Skipper of the Year while Sophie Fisher took home the Woman Skipper of the Year award.

Both skippers were named to their respective division all-conference lists, along with Chapman Petersen and Justin Lim in the Open division, and Michelle Lahrkamp in the Women's division. Abigail Tindall was also named a PCCSC all-conference crew.

This marks the second straight year that Stanford has swept the skipper of the year awards after Michelle Lahrkamp and Jack Parkin took the honors in 2022.

Stanford earned an automatic berth to all four of the national championships this spring by winning each conference title event. The first of the national competitions begins this weekend in Redwood City, as Stanford hosts the second annual Women's Team Race Championship.
