KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Stanford wide receiver Michael Wilson was drafted on Friday by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round with the 94th overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.
A native of Simi Valley, Calif., Wilson was a two-time captain for Stanford. He played in 39 games during his career, totaling 134 receptions for 1,662 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Wilson's best season came in 2019, when he caught 56 passes for 672 yards and five scores. He had an All-Pac-12 season in 2020, shortened by both the covid-19 pandemic and injury. In that shortened season, he caught 19 passes for 261 yards and one touchdown in three-and-a-half games.
Wilson caught 19 passes for 185 yards in an injury-shortened 2021 where he played in just the final four games of the season, and then caught 26 passes for 418 yards and four touchdowns in the first six games of his senior season before an injury cut his time on The Farm short.
