KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Stanford wide receiver Elijah Higgins was drafted on Saturday by the Miami Dolphins in the sixth round with the 197th overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Higgins is the sixth Cardinal drafted by the Miami Dolphins and the first since Jonathan Martin in 2012.
A native of Austin, Texas, Higgins had 119 receptions for 1,380 yards and six touchdowns in 40 career games. Over his final two seasons, Higgins caught 104 passes for 1,204 yards and all six touchdowns.
Higgins earned All-Pac-12 honors each of the last two seasons and also garnered accolades for his academic prowess. He earned Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll three times and was named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators in 2022.
