Williamson Drafted By Bears

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Stanford safety Kendall Williamson was drafted on Saturday by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round with the 258th overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Williamson is the fifth Cardinal to be selected in this draft, the fifth time in the last 10 years that at least five Stanford players have been drafted.

A four-time Pac-12 All-Academic Honor Roll recipient, Williamson was a first team Academic All-American this season.

He finished third on the team with 50 tackles in 2022, while adding three pass breakups, a forced fumble and a quarterback hurry. He had his first career interception against Colgate, and his forced fumble led to Stanford's game winning field goal at Notre Dame.

In 49 career games, Williamson finished with 211 tackles, including 10.5 tackles for loss, 14 passes defended, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception.
