STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman Caspar Griffin was named the Pac-12 Co-Newcomer of the year and Peter Chatain earned All-Conference honors, the conference announced Friday.
Griffin is the third Stanford rower who has earned this honor. The London native has rowed 7 for the Cardinal's varsity squad most of the season, helping lead the team to a 6-1 dual race record.
This is Chatain's second end-of-year All-Pac-12 honor, last earning it in 2021. The 2021 Pac-12 Rowing Athlete of the Year has sat in the 6 or 7 seat for the Cardinal in the varsity eight since he was a freshman.
After earning a fourth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, the Cardinal will finish its season June 2-4 at the IRA Championships in West Windsor, N.J.
