STANFORD, Calif. – Head coach Roz Ellis has announced the addition of Anna Coffman to the Stanford field hockey program as the director of operations.
"We are very excited to add Anna to our staff," said Ellis. "Having a director of operations is a vital piece to the success of any program. I was drawn to Anna's passion, problem solving and outlook on her role in our team. She believes in our culture around empowering women, staying present and pushing for greatness. We can't wait for her to come down from Gonzaga!"
Coffman joins the Cardinal after spending the last two years at Gonzaga in a plethora of roles, most recently as the operations intern for the women's tennis program an as a facilities and event operations intern for the athletic department. Coffman's duties involved planning and executing in home match operations, team travel and recruiting visits for the women's tennis program, while also working alongside five additional teams in facility management.
In addition to her role within the athletic department, Coffman served as a graduate assistant in the Gonzaga department of kinesiology and sport management and as a graduate assistant physical education instructor. She was responsible for designing and creating coursework and managing social media platforms.
Coffman also spent a season as manager of game day operations for the Florida Tropics Soccer Club in Lakeland, Florida, and has volunteers with the Spokane Sports Commission's track and field competitions and with the NCAA women's basketball tournament in Spokane.
A native of Columbia, Missouri, Coffman graduated from Florida Southern College in 2020 and will earn her Master's degree from Gonzaga in 2023.
