PULLMAN, Wash. – No. 1 Stanford women's golf set a new school record for 36-hole score and leads the Pullman Regional at 35-under (541) with 18 holes left to play on Wednesday. The Cardinal bested its previous school record of 34-under (542), set last season at the 2022 Gunrock Invitational (Del Paso Country Club).

Rose Zhang is the individual leader at 12-under (132), holding a one-shot lead over Texas Tech's Shannon Tan and a two-stroke lead over Sadie Englemann, who is in third at 10-under (134).

Zhang is seeking her 11th career victory, which would tie Tiger Woods, Patrick Rodgers and Maverick McNealy for the most in a Stanford golf career. The NCAA Pullman Regional is Zhang's 19th event in a Cardinal uniform. It would also mark her seventh victory this season in nine events, setting a new Stanford single-season mark.

As a team, the Cardinal shot 14-under 274 on Tuesday, the fourth-best round in program history. This on the heels of Monday's 21-under 267, the second-best 18-hole score in school history.

Stanford holds an 18-shot lead over second-place Texas Tech and a 27-stroke advantage over sixth-place Sacramento State. The top five teams following Wednesday's third round will advance to NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club, May 19-25.

Freshman Megha Ganne posted the Cardinal's best round of the day at 5-under 67 to vault into the Top 10 at a tie for ninth. She joins Zhang, Englemann and fellow freshman Kelly Xu (7-under, tied for seventh) in the Top 10.

Zhang's 12-under mark through 36 holes is tied for the third-best 36-hole mark in program history, just one shot behind a record that she and Rachel Heck share.

Stanford is 13-under on the Par 4s this week, six shots better than Clemson, who is second best. The Cardinal is a staggering 25-under on the Par 5s, seven shots better than second-best Kentucky. The team's 48 birdies leads the field, as well.

Individually, Zhang is 6-under on the Par 4s to lead the field, while Englemann's 4-under on such holes is tied for second. Zhang is 7-under on the Par 5s, tied for best in the tournament, while Englemann's 6-under mark is fourth-best. Ganne and Xu are both 5-under on the Par 5s.

Zhang's 13 birdies through two rounds is best in the field, while Ganne and Englemann each have 10. Englemann has 26 pars to go along with her 10 birdies, the only player in the field without a bogey through two rounds.

Stanford, the defending national champions, will look to clinch a spot in its 13th-straight NCAA Championships Wednesday. The Cardinal goes off the first tee, with Texas Tech and Clemson, starting at 9:06 a.m.
