STANFORD, Calif. - Junior Tommy Troy racked up four hits to help lead the No. 6 Stanford Cardinal past the CSU Fullerton Titans (32-24) 6-5 on Sunday in an elimination game from the Stanford Regional. With the win, Stanford will get a rematch against No. 25 Texas A&M tonight at 6 p.m.

Freshman Nick Dugan (1-0) got the win out of the bullpen for Stanford (40-17). The right-hander went 3 2/3 innings, giving up one run on three hits. Junior Ryan Bruno also pitched well, going two shutout innings while allowing one hit, walking one and striking out three to record his ninth save.

As part of the 4-for-5 day, Troy had a home run and three RBIs to lead the Cardinal. Sophomore Temo Becerra furnished a standout performance as well, going 2-for-4 with a go-ahead home run and two RBIs. Junior Eddie Park also contributed for Stanford, putting together one hit in four trips to the plate while adding a walk and an RBI.

Becerra's sixth-inning homer was his second of the season, while Troy's three-run blast in the third inning was his 16th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinal were trailing 2-0 in the third inning when they first put runs on the board. Stanford scored three times, all of them coming across on a three-run homer off the bat of Troy.

The Titans then rallied to score two runs and take a 4-3 lead before the Cardinal got back on the board in the fourth. Stanford scored a run when Park drew a walk from junior Trevor Hinkel that scored junior Alberto Rios, which brought the score level at 4-4.

CSU Fullerton busted up the tie and took a 5-4 lead heading into the sixth, when Stanford grabbed the advantage at 6-5. The Cardinal added two to their tally on Becerra's two-run homer to left. The score remained 6-5 for the rest of the game, as Stanford held on for the win.
