STANFORD, Calif. -- Madison Keaty is stepping down as the associate head coach of the Stanford lightweight rowing team, as announced Monday by Jaquish & Kenninger Director of Athletics Bernard Muir.
"I am honored to have spent my time at Stanford, but will now be pursuing new career opportunities," said Keaty. "While I am looking forward to the future, it is incredibly difficult to be leaving such a talented, gritty and driven team. This program has remained resilient and moved the needle forward, and I am excited to see what the athletes can accomplish in the next year and beyond."
Keaty, the 2022 CRCA Lightweight Coach of the Year, led the Cardinal's varsity eight boat to podium finishes at the 2022 and 2023 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championships. During her time on The Farm, Stanford produced four Pocock Racing Shells All-Americans and placed 19 rowers on the IRA's All-Academic teams.
"I am grateful for Madison's contributions to our lightweight rowing program," said Muir. "She will be missed by many, and I wish her all the best in the future."
Stanford will immediately begin a national search for her replacement.
