STANFORD, Calif. - Zach Bohane has been named both the United Soccer Coaches' and Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week after his dominant showing against No. 8 Creighton and No. 17 Georgetown, leading the Cardinal to a 2-0 record through the first weekend of play. Along with his Player of the Week award, Bohane also earned a spot on the TDS National Team of the Week.

In the first game of the sesaon, Bohane tallied Stanford's second goal, which proved to be the match winner, in the 26th minute in a 3-1 victory over No. 8 Creighton. On Sunday, he exploded for a career-high five points on a brace and assist as the Cardinal crushed No. 17 Georgetown, 5-1.

In his last five matches played dating to last season, Bohane has totaled 11 points on four goals and three assists, seven of which have come in the first two matches this season. The sophomore midfielder has earned recognition from around the country, being named the Pac-12 Player of the Week and to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week before receiving the honor from Top Drawer Soccer.

Stanford was also named the #NCAASoccer Team of the Week as well following the top display from the Cardinal over the first week of action.

Stanford returns to play on Monday for the first road game of the season, taking on San Jose State in San Jose at 7 p.m.
