STANFORD, Calif. – Rounding out the Stanford men's basketball staff for the 2023-24 campaign, the Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men's Basketball Jerod Haase has announced Ricky Delgado-Martinez as assistant director of basketball operations.
Delgado-Martinez joins the Cardinal after a seven-year stint at Chico State, including the last two as assistant coach/director of content creation. He helped lead the Wildcats to a program record No. 4 national ranking, with the team going 22-5 in 2021-22 with an NCAA Elite Eight appearance.
He was previously the head men's basketball manager from 2015-21, assisting in all day-to-day operations of the program, including practice preparation, equipment, video operations and scouting, in addition to numerous game day responsibilities. Alongside his assistant coach responsibilities, Delgado-Martinez also worked with the game day operations team from 2021-22 and was a teaching associate in the kinesiology department for the 2022-23 school year.
Delgado-Martinez has worked Stanford basketball camps over each of the past two summers.
A graduate of Chico State in 2020, Delgado-Martinez earned a degree in liberal arts with minors in history and psychology.
