SPARKS, Md. - Two Stanford players will suit up for the United States Lacrosse U20 training team this weekend at the 2023 USA Lacrosse Fall Classic. Lindsey Devir and Aliya Polisky, two freshmen for the Cardinal, will be traveling to Maryland to represent team USA.
Devir and Polisky will join the U.S. U20 women's training team as it prepares for next summer's World Lacrosse U20 Women's World Championship in Hong Kong, China.
The first game of the weekend will take place on Friday as the U.S. U20 women take on team Canada's U20 team at 12:30 p.m. ET. On Saturday, the team will suit up again against reigning national champion Northwestern at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Devir, the USA Lacrosse Mid-Atlantic Player of the Year, ended her final year of high school lacrosse with 117 goals, 14 assists, 58 draw controls, 27 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers as Ridgewood went 20-2. She finished her career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 297 goals and 42 assists despite playing just three years.
Polisky, an attacker from Franklin Tennessee, served as captain of her team at Franklin High School, winning two state titles during her career. Polisky has previously been selected for the USA U18 National Select Development Team.
