Still Perfect Against the Beavs

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Led by Kendall Kipp, No. 3 Stanford swept Oregon State, 25-17, 25-15, 25-19, Friday, at Gill Coliseum to push its Pac-12 win streak to 27.

Stanford (16-2, 9-0 Pac-12), which improved to 74-0 all-time against Oregon State (7-12, 2-7 Pac-12), hit .367 as a team, while holding the Beavers to a .134 clip. Defensively, the Cardinal was solid all night, racking up 14.0 blocks and 49 digs. Stanford is now 10-0 on the road this season.

Kipp led all players with 15 kills on 30 errorless swings to hit .500. The opposite also tied her career-high with a match-best eight blocks, including two solo, and had five digs.
 


Setter Kami Miner dished out 40 assists and had five digs, a kill and an ace. Libero Elena Oglivie anchored the defense with a match-high 15 digs to go with two aces and three assists. The senior also went on a run at the service line, helping the Cardinal end the second set on an 8-1 run.

Outside hitter Elia Rubin hit .435 with 11 kills on 23 swings with just one miscue. The sophomore also collected 12 digs for her team-leading 10th double-double of the season. She has 19 double-doubles through 50 career matches.
 


Outside hitter Caitie Baird registered nine kills on .333 hitting, nine digs and three blocks. Middle blocker Sami Francis added seven kills and six blocks, while middle blocker McKenna Vicini chipped in with four kills and five blocks.
 


Defensive specialist Anna Pringle tallied an ace in the first set, while setter Kelly Belardi subbed in in the third and notched an assist and a pair of digs.

Oregon State was led by Megan Sheridan's 11 kills on .333 hitting, while libero Ryan White recorded 12 digs and four assists.

Stanford closes out the weekend on Sunday at No. 8 Oregon. First serve is slated for 5:30 p.m. on ESPN.
