STANFORD, Calif. - Ethan Parrish continued his recent torrid stretch with five goals, fueling No. 3 Stanford to a 17-8 victory over No. 16 Pacific on Thursday night in the Cardinal's final game at Avery Aquatic Center.
Alex Gheorghe and Tanner Pulice also produced hat tricks for the Cardinal (14-5, 2-2 MPSF), which won its fourth straight game while closing out its home slate with a record of 6-1.
Stanford led wire-to-wire and received goals from eight different players. Four days after scoring a career-high six goals in a Senior Day victory over UC Davis, Parrish was dominant once again, finishing with five goals on nine attempts.
In addition to Gheorghe and Pulice contributing three goals apiece, Riley Pittman added a multi-goal game with two scores.
Stanford led 4-2 after the first period with Pulice scoring three times on four attempts.
The Cardinal built a 10-5 edge heading into halftime as Parrish achieved his hat trick in the final two minutes.
Leading 12-7 after three quarters, Stanford cruised over the final eight minutes, scoring five of the last six goals.
Nolan Krutonog was impressive in goal, finishing with 14 saves and turning away several opportunities when Pacific (11-9, 0-1 WCC) was gaining momentum.
Stanford, which was without leading scorer Jackson Painter and starting goalkeeper Griffen Price due to injury, wrapped up the nonconference portion of its schedule.
The Cardinal returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 4, facing USC in Los Angeles.
