UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. -- Stanford senior Ky Robinson was named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's cross country Friday before the conference championship meet.

Robinson is a management science and engineering major and carries a 3.565 cumulative grade-point average. He also is a nine-time All-American and the reigning NCAA outdoor track and field champion in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters.

A native of Brisbane, Australia, Robinson has won many honors for both his academics and his athletics. In 2022-23, he was named both National Athlete of the Year and National Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's outdoor track by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

A first-team Academic All-American in 2022-23 for cross country/track and field, Robinson also was an All-American in cross country and placed 23rd in the World Cross Country Championships in February while running for Australia.

Previous Stanford men's winners of the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete cross country award, which first was awarded in 2007, were Neftalem Araia (2007), Elliott Heath (2010), Chris Derrick (2011), Tyler Stutzman (2013), Grant Fisher (2018), Steven Fahy (2019), and Alek Parsons (2020).
