Card Tallies "A" Cut on Day One in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas – Stanford closed out day one of the Texas Swimming Invitational by tallying its first NCAA "A" Standard cut time of the season on Wednesday evening.
 
The group of Aurora Roghair, Lillie Nordmann, Natalie Mannion, and Kayla Wilson clocked a 6:54.94 to place second in the 800 freestyle relay finals, surpassing the "A" cut standard by nearly six seconds.
 
Stanford's 'B' group of Gigi Johnson, Kirsti McEnroe, Caroline Bricker, and Jamie Brennan posted a 7:06.19 to take seventh in the event.
 
The Cardinal opened the night with the 200 medley relay, as the 'B' grouping of Mannion, Bricker, Wilson, and Charlotte Hook swam a 1:38.15 to place sixth. Stanford's 'A' group was disqualified from the race.
 
Action resumes tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. PT with prelims in the 500 free, 200 IM, and 50 free events. Finals will follow tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. PT. Live results of the event can be found on MeetMobile.
