Stanford Wraps Midseason Meet

AUSTIN, Texas – The Cardinal collected three more Stanford Top-10 times on Saturday evening, wrapping up a successful four-day trip at the Texas Swim Invitational.
 
Aurora Roghair opened the night in the 1650 free, shaving nearly nine seconds off her previous best with a 15:52.82 en route to the event title. Her previous best lasted nearly two seasons, taking place at the 2022 Pac-12 Championships.
 
Freshman Caroline Bricker climbed to the third-fastest 200 breast time in program history in Friday evening's finals, placing second with a 2:06.85 to improve upon her previous career mark that she posted earlier this season in the dual meet against Arkansas. Bricker, along with Sam Tadder (2:12.52) and Lucy Thomas (2:13.77) also posted NCAA "B" Standard cut times in the finals.
 
Lillie Nordmann followed that up with a third-place finish in the 200 fly with a 1:53.12, cutting a few tenths off her previous best to rank ninth in Stanford history in the event. Charlotte Hook, Lucy Bell, and Sophie Duncan also posted "B" Cut times in the finals.
 
Stanford posted five "B" Cut times in the 100 free finals as Kayla Wilson (48.46) leading the charge with an eighth place finish, followed by Roghair (48.67), Anna Shaw (48.91), Janelle Rudolph (49.04) and Gigi Johnson (49.14).
 
Natalie Mannion rounded out individual competition with a second place finish in the 200 back with a season-best "B" cut time of 1:52.42.
 
On the relay side, the group of Nordmann, Wilson, Mannion and Roghair posted their second NCAA "A" Standard cut time of the weekend, this time in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:13.28. The contingent of Shaw, Thomas, Rudolph, and Johnson followed just behind with a 3:15.45 to meet the "B" standard.
