Ryan Wins Twice at Invite

LOS ANGELES – Stanford junior Jack Ryan was a double winner at the Trojan Diving Invitational at USC's Uytengsu Aquatics Center over the weekend. 

To open the three-day invitational, Ryan won the three-meter springboard on Friday. Ryan scored 799.05 overall, including 400.40 in the prelims over six dives. 

On Sunday, Ryan won the 1-meter springboard with a total of 745.55. This was his closest competition, with Arizona's Bjorn Markentin second at 714.45. 

Stanford's Hunter Hollenbeck was seventh at 3-meter with 327.75 and was ninth at 1-meter with 264.45. 

Both Stanford divers achieved the NCAA qualifying standards of 320 for six dives at 3-meter and 300 for six dives at 1-meter.

Ryan was third at the 2023 NCAA Championships at 1-meter and ninth at the FINA World Championships in the same event. A month ago, Ryan won the bronze medal at 3-meter at the Pan Am Games.
