STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford women's volleyball team (26-3) will begin its quest for the program's 10th NCAA title at home this week, as the Cardinal earned the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Stanford is scheduled to play its first round match at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1 at Maples Pavilion against Fresno State (19-13). The Bulldogs won the Mountain West Tournament, earning the conference's automatic berth into the postseason.

Houston (18-9) and UC Santa Barbara (27-4) will meet in the other first-round matchup at Maples Pavilion on Friday at 4:30 p.m. The Cougars tied for fourth in the Big 12 Conference, while the Gauchos won the Big West regular season title. Both teams earned at-large berths into the postseason.

The winners of the Stanford-Fresno State and the Houston-UC Santa Barbara matches will meet in the second round on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.

Should the Cardinal advance past the first weekend of play, it will also host the regional rounds on Dec. 7 and Dec. 9 at Maples Pavilion. The seeded teams in Stanford's region are No. 7 Texas, No. 10 Tennessee and No. 15 BYU. The Final Four will be held at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on Dec. 14 and Dec. 17 with the final set to be televised on ABC.

Stanford is making its 42nd NCAA Tournament appearance. The Cardinal will be seeking its first national title since 2019, its 24th Final Four trip and 18th appearance in the national title match.

Stanford wrapped up the regular season on Friday with a sweep over Bay Area rival California. Claiming its 21st league title, Stanford went 19-1 in Pac-12 play, ending the regular season on an eight-match winning streak. Five Pac-12 schools earned bids to the NCAA Tournament.

Tickets for the first and second rounds will be available online at www.GoStanford.com or by calling 1-800-STANFORD. All-session tickets will be available at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, Nov. 27. Single match tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
