STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford head coach Conrad Ray announced three new additions to the Stanford men's golf program on Wednesday afternoon, as the trio of T.K. Chantananuwat, Jay Leng Jr., and Logan Kim will arrive on The Farm ahead of the 2024-25 season.
T.K. Chantananuwat • Strewsbury International School • Bangkok, Thailand
Chantananuwat, a Thai golfer who is widely regarded as a prodigy in the world of golf, won the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Cup at just 15 years of age to become the youngest player ever to win an event on a major professional tour. T.K. has ranked as high as sixth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and is the top Asian amateur golfer.
"T.K. brings an international flair, ranking, and experience level that is hard to find in collegiate golf," said coach Ray, The Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf. "He has competed on the world stage against some of the top amateurs and professional in the game. T.K.'s ceiling for success in the college game is as high as it gets."
Jay Leng Jr. • Torrey Pines High School • San Diego, Calif.
Leng is among California's elite in junior golf, ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the state according to Junior Golf Scoreboard. The San Diego native is a multiple AJGA Junior Tour champion and a two-time AJGA First-Team Rolex All-American. He also competed in 2023 Junior Ryder Cup with Team USA in September.
"We are excited to welcome one of the top junior golf prospects to campus in Jay Leng Jr.," coach Ray said "Jay has an uncanny ability of getting the ball in the hole in high-pressure situations and we think that will lead to great success at Stanford. His record speaks for itself, and Jay is as competitive as it gets both in the classroom and one the course."
Logan Kim • La Canada High School • Altadena, Calif.
Kim rounds out the 2024 class as yet another in-state commitment coming to The Farm. The San Jose native is the fourth-ranked recruit in the state of California according to Junior Golf Scoreboard, a Southern California Junior PGA Tour tournament winner, and has multiple top ten finishes on the AJGA Tour.
"Logan has proven to be one of the top junior golf performers in the country and especially in Southern California. He has an awesome physical upside and is a natural ball striker. Logan loves golf as much as anyone we have met, and we think he will make an immediate impact on our roster."
