Trio Named All-Americans

STANFORD, Calif. - Jackson Painter, Riley Pittman and Ethan Parrish were named All-Americans by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches, extending a streak of multiple Stanford representatives on All-America teams in each year since 1975.

Painter earned an appearance on the second team for the second consecutive season, after finishing the season second on the team in goals (58), assists (25) and multi-goal games (17). The senior finished with seven goals in the MPSF tournament, including a four-goal performance against No. 2 California, and posted three or more goals 11 times, including three different five-goal games. From Sept. 22 through Oct. 22, Painter scored multiple goals in nine-straight games.

Pittman led the team in goals (63), assists (45) and multi-goal games (19) to earn a spot on the second team alongside Painter. The senior tallied 11 goals in three MPSF tournament games, including five scores in a loss to No. 2 California. Pittman opened the season with four-straight multi-goal games, and scored three or more goals in nine games, including three different five-goal performances.

Parrish earned an honorable mention after finishing third on the team in goals (42) and multi-goal games (13), while sitting fourth in assists (20). Parrish scored twice in the Card's overtime win against No. 1 UCLA on Nov. 19 in the MPSF tournament, and tallied a career-best six goals against No. 7 UC Davis on Oct. 2.
