New Ticketing Platform

STANFORD, Calif. - In an effort to further modernize and advance the ticketing experience for fans, Stanford Athletics is changing ticketing system providers, selecting vivenu as its ticketing platform, effective July 1, 2023.

The initial phase of the system transition will bring immediate enhancements for fans, including a refreshed website design and ticket purchase flow at tickets.gostanford.com, streamlined mobile ticket downloads, expedited venue entry, and much more to follow.

Among the notable features:

PREVIEW SEATS PRIOR TO CHECKOUT
Stanford Athletics has worked with vivenu and 3D Digital Venues to allow fans to preview every seat in Stanford Stadium and Maples Pavilion during the seat selection process, adding innovation and transparency to each ticket purchase.

EXPANDED LIST OF PAYMENT OPTIONS
New, secure payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Discover will be available for online and in-person transactions in addition to the previously accepted method of credit card payments: American Express, Mastercard, and Visa.

EXPRESS CHECKOUT
Fans can utilize a new express checkout feature for Apple Pay and Google Pay to quickly and easily bypass the input of personal information with a single click during the checkout process.

STREAMLINED MOBILE TICKET DOWNLOAD
In response to feedback from Season Ticket Members (STMs), Stanford Athletics will offer a streamlined process for STMs to download their tickets as a season pass. STMs will only need to download one mobile wallet pass per seat, which will serve as their ticket for each game throughout the season. When a ticket is resold on StubHub, transferred, or exchanged for a game, it will automatically be removed from the season pass.

Single game ticket buyers will have the option to download all their tickets to their mobile wallet in a matter of seconds from the order confirmation page immediately after completing the checkout process. Tickets will also continue to be delivered via email and can be accessed in an online ticketing account.

REFRESHED TICKET RESALE FLOW
Season Ticket Members and other ticket buyers looking to resell tickets can continue to list them for sale to other fans on StubHub through a newly designed integration with vivenu. Fans can list tickets for sale on StubHub directly from their Stanford Athletics online ticketing account in a few simple steps and new tickets will automatically be sent to buyers. In addition to tickets.gostanford.com, StubHub is the only other source of verified tickets, as the Official Ticket Marketplace for Stanford Athletics events.

VENUE ENTRY UPDATES
New ticket scanners will be deployed at venue entrances and "Tap and Go" mobile tickets will be used for all ticketed athletic events on The Farm. Once added to a smartphone's mobile wallet, these tickets will display a "Hold Near Reader" animation in place of a QR code or barcode. Fans will simply open their ticket within their smartphone's mobile wallet and position their device in close proximity to the ticket scanner to validate their ticket(s) for entry.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR PRE-EXISTING ACCOUNT
Login credentials and payment information will not be transferred to the new system. Fans who choose to enjoy the convenience of using an online ticketing account will need to create a new password and have the option to store any preferred payment methods. New online ticketing accounts will be created for current Season Ticket Members, former student-athletes with active Block S ticketing accounts, and any other fan with an existing order for the 2023-24 year. Account activation instructions will be sent via email to all fans whose account will be created by the Stanford Athletics Ticket Office. While historical ticket orders will not be visible to fans in their new accounts, recent account history and all ticket orders that contribute to fans' level of engagement with Stanford Athletics are securely stored in other systems.
