STANFORD, Calif. – In front of a sold-out Burnham Pavilion crowd, the second-ranked Stanford men's gymnastics program earned a Stanford Open victory over No. 9 California, 415.250-396.300.

Sophomore Asher Hong claimed the all-around title for a second-straight week, posting a career-high still rings score of 15.100 on the final rotation to give him the edge over teammate Khoi Young.

Hong finished with a final all-around score of 84.950 while Young tallied a mark of 84.850. Senior Brandon Nguyen placed fourth in the all-around race with an 80.500.

Young led all competitors with three event crowns on the night, earning titles on the vault (14.850), parallel bars (14.900), and pommel horse (14.800). Senior Colt Walker gave the Cardinal its fifth event win of the night with a 14.650 floor routine, while California's Darren Wong claimed the event title on high bar with a 13.550.

A handful of current and former Stanford gymnasts also saw action in the invitational portion of the event with senior Jeremy Bischoff and alumni Riley Loos representing Team USA, while Ian Gunther and Blake Sun competed for Senior Elite.

The Cardinal returns to Burnham Pavilion next weekend with yet another meet against the Golden Bears on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 4:00 p.m. PT.
