SEATTLE, Wash. - Stanford's run at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships came to an end on Sunday, as the No. 2 Cardinal lost to No. 3 Oklahoma State, 4-2.
For the first time this weekend, Stanford dropped the doubles point. Connie Ma and Alexandra Yepifanova won for the third time in three days on court two, but the Cowgirls were victorious at Nos. 1 and 3 to go ahead.
Ma and Yepifanova kept their momentum going in singles, as each scored ranked wins. Ma beat No. 54 Lucia Peyre, 6-3, 6-4, and Yepifanova knocked of No. 5 Ange Oby Kajuru, 6-3, 7-5. But Oklahoma State got the three points it needed with victories in the lower lineup at Nos. 4, 5 and 6 to advance to Monday's final against Michigan.
Stanford returns to action on The Farm on Friday, Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. when it hosts Pacific.
