Stanford Falls on Senior Day

STANFORD, Calif. – No. 16 Stanford closed out the regular season on Saturday with a 29-11 loss to No. 21 Oregon State at Maples Pavilion.

The Cardinal, which won just three of 10 bouts against the Beavers, finishes the regular season 10-4 overall and 3-2 in the Pac-12. 

Redshirt senior Jaden Abas scored the first points of the dual for the Cardinal, defeating No. 28 Nash Singleton, 14-3 at 149 pounds. Sophomore Daniel Cardenas followed up with a 14-5 major decision over CJ Hamblin at 157 pounds.

Redshirt freshman Hunter Garvin, who is ranked No. 25 at 165 pounds, capped off the Cardinal scoring with a 6-5 decision over Kekana Crosby.
 


Stanford recognized its 10 seniors with a ceremony prior to the dual.

Up next, the Cardinal will prepare for the Pac-12 Championships, held March 10 in Corvallis, Oregon.
