STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men's tennis continued its strong play at Taube Family Tennis Center, defeating Washington, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinal improves to 10-4 this season and 2-0 in Pac-12 competition.
Stanford struck first in doubles, dropping only four combined games across three courts. Max Basing and Nico Godsick resumed their winning ways on court one, earning a 6-1 triumph, while Aryan Chaudhary and Harsh Hemang Parikh were close behind with a 6-2 win on court three to clinch the advantage in the match.
The Cardinal's back courts did the job in singles play, with wins on each of courts four, five and six. Kyle Kang was first to finish with a 6-1, 6-2 display on court four, while Hudson Rivera joined him minutes later with a 6-1, 6-3 victory of his own. Neel Rajesh added the clinching point – the 12th of his career – on court five, 6-2, 7-5.
Stanford ends the day atop the Pac-12 standings at 2-0, and continues conference play on Friday, March 29 at Arizona State. The first serves are set for 5 p.m.
