STANFORD, Calif. – No. 5 Stanford fell to No. 12 UCLA this afternoon 9-3, falling to 36-9 on the season and 13-4 in Pac-12 play.
 
Stanford jumped out in the lead early, scoring in the bottom of the second to make it 1-0. Freshman Jade Berry hit a ball up the middle to drive in sophomore Kyra Chan for an RBI fielder's choice.
 
UCLA added five runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead at 5-1.
 
Grad student Kaitlyn Lim put the Cardinal back to within striking distance in the home half of the frame, hitting her second home run of the season to score two and make it 5-3.
 
The Bruins added three in the sixth and one in the seventh to finish the game 9-3.
 
Sophomore Emily Jones extended her hitting streak to 14 games, the longest by a Stanford batter since Teaghan Cowles picked up a hit in 14-straight games in 2021.
