Card Set for Bulldogs and Beavers

The Cardinal hosts Fresno State on Wednesday, before heading north for a three-game conference series with Oregon State. Stanford is coming off of a three-game sweep of Arizona State, and is undefeated in the last five games.

Leading the Pac 

The Cardinal is 11-1 to start Pac-12 play, leading the conference behind the best start in program history. 

• Stanford swept back-to-back conference series for the first time since 2013 to open the conference slate. 

• The Card has won each of its first four series in Pac-12 play. 

• This is just the 15th time Stanford has won 10+ conference games in a season. 

• Stanford has a chance to secure a second-consecutive winning record in Pac-12 play for the third time in program history and first since 2009. 

• The Cardinal was picked to win the Pac-12 for the first time in program history. 

Power Surge 

Through 62 games last season, the Cardinal combined to hit just 26 home runs. Through the first 37 games of 2024, the Card has already hit 30. 

• In 2023, the team combined for a .394 slugging percentage while batting .280. 

• This season, the slugging percentage is up to .458 while the batting average has risen to .284. 

• Last season, seven different players hit at least one home run. This year, that number is up to 10. 

Aly Kaneshiro led the team with seven home runs last year. Freshman Ava Gall is currently leading the team with seven, and three players are tied for the second-most with five. 

Pitchers Are Rolling 

The Card posted three-straight shutouts last weekend, sweeping Arizona State and not allowing a run to the Sun Devils. 

• Stanford allowed just 10 hits, striking out 21 in 19 scoreless innings. 

A complete staff 

The Cardinal's entire pitching staff has been strong to open the 2024 season, boasting a combined 1.54 ERA through 37 games. 

• Senior Regan Krause has picked up 13 wins in 21 appearances (15 starts), across 83.1 innings pitched. 

• Freshman Alyssa Houston has allowed just six earned runs in 31.1 innings of work, for a 1.34 ERA. 

• The Cardinal has posted 16 shutouts in 37 games this season. 

Beating the Best 

The Card has played 14 games against teams ranked in the NFCA's top 25 

• Stanford is 9-5 against ranked teams, and 22-1 against unranked foes. 

• The Cardinal has beat a top-3 team three times on the season: No. 2 Tennessee on Feb. 16, No. 2 Texas on Feb. 24 and No. 5 Georgia March 3.
