Former Stanford Student-Athlete Block S Society Membership
Stanford Athletics is proud of all its former varsity student-athletes. Together, this group of prestigious alumni is called the Block S Society. The moment a varsity student-athlete graduates or leaves Stanford, they become a member of the Block S Society. The mission of the Block S Society is to honor varsity student-athlete alumni for their contributions to Stanford Athletics and keep them connected to all things Cardinal through social, educational, and philanthropic endeavors.

Block S Society Tickets
Block S Society members are eligible to receive two (2) complimentary tickets to all regularly scheduled home sporting events on a space-availability basis. Block S Society members can purchase additional, adjacent tickets when claiming their free ticket(s). 

Tickets are not available for special events, postseason, or NCAA championships.Complimentary Block S tickets are intended for the exclusive use of the former Stanford student-athlete and may not be resold. Stanford Athletics reserves the right to revoke complimentary claiming privileges from any account determined by Stanford Athletics, in its sole discretion, to be in violation of this policy.

Registering and Using Your Block S Society Ticket Membership
Stanford Athletics changed ticketing systems in July 2023 and has updated the Block S ticket claiming process. If your Block S Ticket Membership was active on the previous ticket system and you have not yet created an account on the new Stanford Athletics ticket site, please follow the instructions below.

    Reactivating your existing Block S Ticket Membership

  2. Click "Sign in" in the upper right corner.
  3. Click "Register for free."
  4. Use the same email address that you previously used for Block S ticket access. Note: If you have already registered an account on the new site, you do not need to register again.
  5. After clicking "Register" you will receive an email to verify your email address. 
  6. Upon verification, you will automatically have the ability to claim Block S tickets for eligible events within the claiming period detailed below.

    Registering a Block S Ticket Membership for the first time

  1. Click "Register New Account" below and follow the instructions to submit your registration.
  2. Please allow for a full business week after registering your account before starting to claim tickets. The Stanford Athletics Ticket Office will need to review the information provided with your registration and match it against its records prior to activating your Block S ticket claiming privileges. You may be contacted to verify your identity.


Claim Tickets

Register New Account

Claiming Block S Tickets:
Block S tickets for all eligible regular season home games are subject to availability and must be claimed online in advance to be guaranteed. Walk-up ticket requests will not be accepted on the day of the event.

When the ticket claiming period opens, visit, sign in to your account, and navigate to your desired event. When you select seats in an eligible section, choose the "Block S Comp" ticket type (limit 2), and add any adjacent seats you would like to purchase. After completing the checkout, you should add your ticket(s) to your smartphone's mobile wallet to scan in at the event. Block S Ticket Claiming Period:
The ticket claiming periods occur online based on the following schedule:

  • Weekday events (Monday-Thursday): Block S tickets are eligible to be claimed beginning at 10 a.m. on the Monday of the week prior to the event.
  • Weekend events (Friday-Sunday): Tickets are eligible to be claimed beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday during the week of the event.

Seat Locations:
Block S tickets will be in the available areas when viewing our seating maps:

  • Football - Corner/End Zone (dark green) and General Admission (light green)

    • Block S tickets will only be available in General Admission for Football vs. Cal
  • Men's and Women's Soccer - General Admission (light green)
  • Women's Volleyball - General Admission (light green)
  • Men's Basketball - Upper Baseline Reserved (green) 
  • Women's Basketball - General Admission (green)
  • Wrestling - General Admission
  • Women's Gymnastics - General Admission (light green)
  • Baseball - Reserved (red) or General Admission (light green)
  • Softball - General Admission (light green)

Q: Who is eligible for Block S Society tickets?
A: All former Stanford varsity student-athletes are eligible to create a Block S Society ticket account. Current graduate students receive complimentary access to regular season sporting events and are ineligible for the Block S Society ticket program, regardless of their former student-athlete status.

Q: Am I eligible to claim a ticket immediately after setting up my account?
A: No. Please allow until Monday of the following week to begin claiming tickets. You will receive a second email alerting you of your account activation.

Q: How many Block S Society tickets can be claimed for an individual game?
A: Two (2) tickets may be claimed per game. If you are looking for more tickets, you may purchase additional adjacent tickets online or you can call the Ticket Office at (800)-STANFORD.

Q: Will I always get a ticket?
A: No. Tickets are subject to availability on a game-by-game basis. Tickets are not available for special events, postseason, or NCAA championships.

Q: Can I sell or transfer my ticket?
A: Block S Society tickets are non-transferrable and may only be redeemed and used by the former student-athlete. We reserve the right to revoke any ticket found to be sold elsewhere.

Q: Can I use my Block S Society benefit for postseason?
A: No. At this time, Block S Society tickets are only available for scheduled regular season home sporting events on a space-available basis.

Q: Is the Buck/Cardinal Club the same as the Block S Society?
A: No. The Buck/Cardinal Club is the annual fund for Stanford Athletics. The Buck/Cardinal Club provides scholarship and program support to all 36 varsity sports. To learn more about the Buck/Cardinal Club, click here.
