Wichita, Kan. – The Wichita Sports Commission announced the semifinalists, including Stanford's Malcolm Moore, for the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award.

A selection committee made up of Division I Baseball Coaches, Sports Information Directors and Major League Scouts selected the sixteen catchers from 69 nominations submitted by Division I college schools.

Moore is joined on the list by Pac-12 backstops Ryan Campos (Arizona State) and Caleb Lomavita (Cal). The native of Sacramento, Calif. is batting .251 with 40 runs scored, seven doubles, a team-best 15 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has drawn 42 walks while posting a .407 on-base percentage and a .536 slugging percentage. Defensively, Moore has thrown out 31% of potential base stealers.
