STANFORD, Calif. – Redshirt sophomore Hunter Garvin will represent the United States at the U23 World Championships, Oct. 22-23, in Tirana, Albania.
Garvin, who will compete in Greco-Roman at 77 kg, will be joined in Albania by assistant coach Sean Gray.
“Hunter continues to be a great face for Stanford Wrestling on national and international stages,” said Gray. “Making a world team is just another step in the great path Hunter continues to create for himself. As a fan of wrestling it’s going to be exciting to watch him represent his country and letting it rip!”
Garvin opens the tournament against India's Karan Karan on Tuesday morning. Garvin qualified for the U23 World Team by winning the U23 national title in Geneva, Ohio in the spring.
