Four Weekly Awards from ACC

Three Cardinal get recognized by ACC with four awards following comeback win

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Coming off the program’s first ranked win since 2021, Stanford football received four weekly honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference. Emmett Mosley V was named the ACC Rookie of the Week and Receiver of the Week; Emmet Kenney was named the ACC Specialist of the Week; and Ashton Daniels was named the ACC Quarterback of the Week.

Mosley V's performance caught the country's eyes, piling up 13 catches for 168 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His 13 catches and three touchdowns are the most in a single game by a true freshman in Stanford history, and his 168 receiving yards are the third most. His opening touchdown of 62 yards was the longest passing play for Stanford this season, and he helped tie the game with 45 seconds remaining on a 25-yard touchdown strike.

Kenney knocked through the game-winning field goal from 52 yards out as time expired to secure the win for Stanford. He went 3-3 on field goals including the game-ending kick, the longest made field goal of his career. He has kicked a field goal twice this season as time expires to win a game for the Cardinal, including Stanford’s first-ever ACC win at Syracuse. This marks his second ACC Specialist of the Week award.

Daniels put up one of his best weeks of the season to help lead the comeback against No. 22 Louisville. He completed 22-of-33 passes for 298 yards and three touchdowns, setting a season-high for yards and touchdowns. His first two touchdowns went to Mosley V and his final score was a 13-yard touchdown toss to Elic Ayomanor which made it a one-score game late in the fourth quarter. Following his performance, Daniels was also named to the Davey O’Brien Great 8, recognizing outstanding quarterback play.

Stanford is on the road for the final two games of the season, starting with the 127th Big Game at California on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is slated for 12:30 pm PT on ACC Network as the Cardinal looks to reclaim The Axe after the Golden Bears have won the annual rivalry game the last three seasons.
