Gaynor Cup Champions

PHILADELPHIA - The Cardinal won the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference championship this morning, topping No. 5 Virginia 7-2 to give Stanford the Gaynor Cup for the first time in program history. The Card joined the  MASC last season, finishing third.

Three different members of the Card won despite dropping the first set, with Madison Ho, Yuvna Gupta and Khushi Kukadia all rallying for 3-1 comeback wins. Miriam Cheng won in five sets on the 4's court,

Ho, Gupta, Maeve Baker and Lucia Bicknell all won to move to 3-0 at the three-day conference tournament.

The win avenges a loss to Virginia in last season's conference tournament, and marks the first win against a CSA top-five team since Feb. 2019 when Stanford topped No. 2 Princeton.

The Card continues the postseason with the College Squash Association National Championships, from February 29-March 3.
