Back and Hungry for More » Stanford softball won 50 games last season, the second-most in program history and the first 50-win season since 2001. Stanford is coming off consecutive trips to the WCWS for the first time in program history, and third and fourth trips total. The Card's 17 Pac-12 wins tied a program record dating back to 1998.
Opening Opponents » Stanford faced both Fresno State and Seattle last season, going 2-0. On April 10, Stanford topped Fresno State 7-2 at home. Ava Gall led the way, going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks and two runs driven in. On April 24, the Card won 5-3 at Seattle to pick up the 40th win of the season. Kaitlyn Lim picked up three hits, including the two-run homer that proved to be the difference.
Returning Production » Stanford retains a huge percentage of offensive production from 2024 to 2025, after a strong season at the plate. The Card finished 2024 hitting .273 as a team, just a hair down from 2023's .280 clip, while boosting total runs scored to 309 from 272 in 2023. The 309 runs were the 5th-most in program history, and the first time eclipsing 300 since 2014.
