ANTALYA, Turkey - On his first international assignment since rejoining the U.S. Senior National Team, Taylor Burkhart collected floor exercise gold to highlight a strong weekend for the Stanford senior at the 2025 Antalya World Cup.
Burkhart started the weekend strong in the qualification rounds, qualifying for the event finals on floor exercise, vault, and high bar. The Arvada, Colo. native posted the highest score of the qualification on the floor with a 14.266 routine on Thursday before finishing seventh on vault (13.666) and fifth on high bar (13.400).
Returning to action on Saturday for the first finals session, Burkhart once again turned in the top floor score, registering a 13.933 to claim the top step of the podium. The victory marked the World Cup gold medal of Burkhart's career.
Burkhart wrapped up his weekend with two more strong routines in Sunday's finals, narrowly missing the podium on high bar with a fourth-place effort of 13.700, as well as 13.850 vault routine to finish fifth.
The Stanford senior will now return stateside to rejoin his Cardinal teammates, as they prepare to compete at the MPSF Championships on Saturday, April 5.
