Men’s Tennis Completes 3-0 Week, Wins at BC

The Cardinal swept the Eagles to close its five-match road trip

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – No. 9 Stanford men’s tennis continued its winning ways in the ACC, downing Boston College, 4-0, on Sunday at the Weymouth Club. Stanford improves to 16-5 this season and 7-3 in the ACC.

The Cardinal got out to a hot start in doubles, posting wins on the top two courts. Max Basing and Alex Razeghi posted a 6-3 result on court three to start the success, while Kyle Kang and Nathan Barki followed moments later on court one, 6-2.

Stanford took five of six first sets in singles, staying in front from start to finish in the match. Barki gave Stanford a 2-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-0 victory on court six, marking his first career collegiate win in singles play. Razeghi made it 3-0 on court three with a 6-2, 6-1 win, marking his team-leading 12th dual victory of the season, while Kang earned his second win of the season at No. 1 singles, going 7-6, 6-2 in the top position.

The Cardinal returns to the Farm for the first of three straight matches at home, hosting North Carolina on Friday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m.
