LEXINGTON, Ky. – Stanford beach volleyball’s fours pair of sophomore Chloe Hoffman and freshman Logan Tusher have been named American Volleyball Coaches Association/College Beach Volleyball (AVCA/CBVB) National Pair of the Week, the association announced Monday afternoon.
The duo, paired together since April 2, holds a 9-0 record with wins over seven ranked programs (at the time of playing). At the Center of Effort Volleyball Challenge in San Luis Obispo, Calif., Hoffman and Tusher posted a 4-0 ledger with wins over pairs from No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 Cal Poly, No. 6 USC, and No. 7 Florida State. Two of those victories, straight-set wins over Southern California’s Maya Gessner/Mabyn Thomas and Florida State’s Makenna Wolfe/Myriah Massey, clinched the overall match wins for the Cardinal. Stanford posted a 3-1 record over the weekend in SLO, with its only loss coming to No. 2 UCLA in the tournament’s championship match.
The Cardinal wraps up the regular season on The Farm April 18-19, welcoming No. 10 Cal, No. 20 Washington, Santa Clara, and UC Davis to Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium. Stanford is slated to meet the Broncos and Golden Bears on Friday and the Huskies and Aggies on Saturday. After Saturday’s matchup with the Aggies, the Cardinal will celebrate Senior Day and honor the careers of Camdyn Doucet, Emma Morris, Emmy Sharp, Serena Turner, Avi Vetter, and Taylor Wilson.
