ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Stanford senior Taylor Burkhart was named the 2025 College Gymnastics Association (CGA) MVP of the Year on Thursday evening, as announced at the CGA's annual awards banquet.
Burkhart, previously named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Gymnast of the Year, is coming off his first career MPSF individual title on floor exercise two weeks ago.

Burkhart has enjoyed a breakout senior campaign, finishing the regular season as the nation's top all-arounder with an 80.183 4-score average. The Arvada, Colo., native also boasts a top-20 national qualifying average in three events, ranking second on floor exercise (14.063), fifth on vault (14.250), and 16th on high bar (13.375)
Burkhart has won four event titles this season, earning three CGA National Gymnast of the Week awards and a conference-leading three MPSF Gymnast of the Week honors. Additionally, Burkhart earned another selection to the U.S. Senior National Team after a fourth-place all-around effort at the 2025 Winter Cup and secured floor exercise gold in his first international assignment at the 2025 Antalya World Cup.
No. 3 Stanford men's gymnastics looks to become the first program in NCAA history to win six consecutive national championships this weekend at the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships on April 18-19 at the Crisler Center.
