LAKE BLUFF, Ill. — Stanford women's golf returns to the Jackson T. Stephens Cup for the 2025 installment of the event, taking place on Sept. 15-17, 2025. This is the first tournament field the Cardinal has been announced in for next season.
The Jackson T. Stephens Cup presented by Stephens is an annual collegiate golf tournament named in memory of the late Augusta National Chairman and launched in 2021. The tournament features NCAA Division I National Championship-contending men’s and women’s teams alongside collegiate players representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the United States Service Academies.
The 2025 tournament will be held at Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
The tournament format will be 54 holes of stroke play setting the field for a final day of match play based on the stroke-play team finish; the final day of match play will be 18 holes. The event will also recognize its 54-hole winners upon completion of stroke play. Tournament week will begin with a practice round and college-am fundraising tournament on Sunday, September 14th followed by three days of official tournament play.
In addition to Stanford, the field includes Northwestern, South Carolina, Oregon, Texas and Wake Forest. The field is one of the strongest in collegiate golf, with all six teams ranked within the top-12 of the most recent Scoreboard rankings.
2025 will be the third appearance in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup for the Cardinal. Stanford won the 2022 event after finishing second in stroke play and beating Wake Forest in match play for the title. In 2023, Stanford beat South Carolina in the third-place match.
