CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Honored for their strong performances in wins over Duke and North Carolina, Stanford’s Nico Godsick and Hudson Rivera have been named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week. The weekly honor is the second this season for Godsick, who earned honors on Feb. 18 alongside Henry von der Schulenburg, and the first for Rivera.
Godsick and Rivera moved to 5-0 this season as a duo, and 4-0 in ACC play, with wins over North Carolina’s pair of Jarry and Wright, 7-5, and Duke’s duo of Petrovic and Rodenas, 6-4. The win against the Blue Devils came at No. 1 doubles. Godsick is 17-12 overall in doubles this season, including four ranked wins, while Rivera is 6-1.
Both players are also excelling in singles, with Rivera winning both of his matches against Duke and North Carolina and Godsick adding a win over the Blue Devils. Rivera is 7-5 in singles including three wins in a row, while Godsick is 13-5 with seven consecutive victories.
Stanford enters its final ACC regular season contest at 18-5 overall and 9-3 in the ACC, ranked No. 8 in the country.
