STANFORD, Calif. – River Mahler and Emily Jones have earned NFCA All-America selection, as announced today. Mahler landed on the second team, while Jones earned an appearance on the third team.
Mahler led the Cardinal in hits (76), batting average (.429) and total bases (127) in a dynamic third season on The Farm. Jones was right behind her, second on the team in average (.413) and hits (74).
Both players were named to NFCA All-West Region and All-ACC teams earlier this month.
Mahler’s batting average and hit total were fifth-best in the ACC, and the average was the sixth-best in a single season in program history. Jones’ average was good for the ninth-best in a season in program history, the seventh-best in the ACC.
Mahler and Jones both finished with 59 runs scored, the third-most on the team, and 33rd-most in the country.
This season, both players added the long ball to their arsenals. After not hitting a home run in either of her first two seasons, Mahler slugged 11 in 2025. The home run total was the fourth-best on the team, and her .718 slugging percentage was the ninth-best in a season in program history. Jones entered the season with two career home runs, and hit nine in 2025.

On the dirt, Mahler started at shortstop in 54 of Stanford’s 55 games, posting 72 assists and 87 putouts while turning nine double plays. Jones appeared in centerfield in all 55 games, earning 77 putouts and adding a pair of assists.

The duo gives the Cardinal a third-straight season with an All-America honoree, and 35 total selections from 20 different student-athletes.
