STANFORD, Calif. - Chris Ayres, The Matt Gentry Head Wrestling Coach, and his staff have announced the signings of five high school standouts who will join the program this fall.
"While this is a small recruiting class, the group strengthens areas of our lineup where we were a bit thin depth-wise, and considering their accolades, any one of them could be a future star of the program. Overall, I’m incredibly excited to see what these recruits do in the next four to five years in our program,” said Ayres.
Stanford's incoming class consists of Brockton Borelli (Los Banos, Calif.), Adam Mattin (Delta, Ohio), Dylan Pile (Los Gatos, Calif.), Angelo Posada (Poway, Calif.) and Edwin Sierra (Yuma, Ariz.).
The class is ranked No. 12 nationally by MatScouts and No. 18 by FloWrestling.
