All-America Honors

STANFORD, Calif. - Eight Stanford sailors earned ten total All-America honors for the 2024-25 season, as announced by the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) on Tuesday morning.

These awards were released in conjunction with the previously announced individual national awards, in which Vanessa Lahrkamp was named Quantum Women's College Sailor of the Year for the second consecutive season and Alice Schmid was honored as the Mitchell M. Brindley Crew of the Year.

Thomas Sitzmann was also revealed as a finalist for the Everett Morris Memorial Trophy, given to the 2025 Open Sailor of the Year. Sitzmann was one of two finalists for the award.

Lahrkamp, in addition to winning the Women's College Sailor of the Year, was named on both the Women's Skipper and Open Skipper All-America teams.

Ellie Harned also earned a pair of All-America honors on the Women's Skipper and Crew teams, becoming just the second sailor in history to be named an All-American as both a skipper and a crew in the same season.

Sitzmann earned his second All-American award as an Open Skipper, while Sophie Fisher became the third Cardinal to be named to the Women's Skipper team for her first career All-America honor.

Schmid and Piper Blackband rounded out the First Team All-America crews for Stanford, while Kit Harned and Ashtyn Tierney earned honorable mention nods.
