Godsick, Rivera Selected for American Collegiate Wild Card Playoffs

The duo ended the collegiate season at No. 31 in the ITA rankings.

STANFORD, Calif. – Nico Godsick and Hudson Rivera will be competing in the American Collegiate Wild Card Playoffs, set to be held at the USTA National Campus June 16-18.

The new event is part of an expanded NCAA-linked wild card pilot program that will more than double the average number of American collegiate players that earn US Open wild cards this year. The winners of a four-player men’s and women’s singles playoff and a four-team men’s and women’s doubles playoff will earn US Open main draw singles and doubles wild cards, while the men’s and women’s singles finalists will earn US Open qualifying wild cards.

The tandem of Godsick and Rivera will open the event on Tuesday, June 17 against the Columbia par of Andrew Kotzen and Michael Zheng at 2 p.m. PT (5 p.m. ET). The finals will be contested on Wednesday, June 18, and all matches will be streamed on the USTA National Campus website.

Godsick and Rivera posted an 8-3 record together in 2024-25, all in dual play, including a 5-2 record at No. 1 doubles. The pair had a 3-2 record against ranked opponents, including wins in the NCAA Tournament over the nation’s No. 3 and No. 53 duos.

Stanford men’s tennis finished a remarkable season in 2024-25, going 26-6 overall while winning an ACC Championship in its first season in the conference and advancing to the national semifinals of the NCAA Championships and the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
