STANFORD, Calif. — Having made the postseason in its first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2024, Stanford Field Hockey returns for its second season in the ACC with the release of the 2025 schedule on Friday. The Cardinal embarks on a 16-game campaign with nine games taking place at Varsity Field Hockey Turf.
The 2025 slate starts on the road near the nation’s capital with the Cardinal heading to College Park, Md., for the Conference Cup, taking on hosts Maryland out of the Big Ten on August 29 before squaring off against James Madison (MAC) on August 31.
Following the season-opening road trip, Stanford kickstarts the home schedule with a four-game home stand to begin September, hosting Ball State (September 4) and Harvard (September 7) on The Farm before turning its attention to Ohio (September 12) and Michigan (September 14).
The Cardinal then treks to The Tarheel State, opening the ACC campaign against Duke (September 19) and defending ACC Champions North Carolina (September 21). Stanford returns home to close the September slate with a pair against Louisville (September 26) and Virginia (September 28).
October begins on The Farm with the Cardinal hosting a pair of foes from the Northeast, battling Syracuse on October 10 before welcoming Boston College (October 12) in its penultimate home game. Following the matchup against the Eagles, Stanford heads back out east for its final regular season road trip, taking on Wake Forest on October 17 before closing out the trip with a contest against Davidson (October 19).
The Cardinal returns to The Golden State to close out the 2025 regular season, concluding the home slate with a senior day showdown against UC Davis on October 26 before closing the regular season with a big matchup against Cal in Berkeley, Calif., on October 29.
Stanford brings back 73 percent of its offense from a year ago while returning nearly the entire roster for 2025. The Cardinal also welcomes four freshmen into the squad that are sure to make an impact this season.
